Memorial Day

As a member of the military, this day really means a lot to me. I’ve known many brothers and sisters in arms, that have given their lives in service to this country. Many men and women have not returned home. Many have not had the chance to live out their dreams, to see their children grow up, or to grow old with their loved ones. Many have given it all.

So, while you cookout, swim, and spend time with your friends and family today – don’t forget the ones who can’t. Don’t forget who this day is really for and what this holiday really means.

All gave some, but some gave all. And those who gave all deserve our respect, admiration, and gratitude.

Thank you to the many, many men and women who have laid down their lives for this country. Thank you to their loved ones who have been left with a missing piece of their heart. Thank you for the sacrifices you’ve made that can never be repaid. You are true heroes and you do not get the recognition that you truly deserve. But I thank you, today and every day.
