Summer Garden

We finally had our first sunny day in weeks! It was perfect timing. We’ve been dying to put our little sprouts into the earth. So, we took this opportunity and got our hands dirty.

We spent hours weeding our garden and transplanting our little seedlings into their brand new home. It was hard work, but so worth it in the end. Giving those plants the space to grow and stretch out is exactly what they needed.

Over the coming weeks and months, we will watch these sprouts grow into fruit-bearing plants. We’ll reap the harvest of our labor and enjoy the food that our hard work has made for us. We’ll grill the squash, peppers, and carrots. We’ll chop the lettuce, cabbage, and broccoli up for a nice salad for dinner. And we’ll pluck our corn for our summer cookouts.

This garden will be the highlight of our summer. It will give us the nourishment we need. It will be the centerpiece of our table as we gather with family and friends. It will be a place for us to work, to dig our hands into the soil, and to truly connect with nature and it’s resources.

As our garden grows, we’ll grow with it. And it will serve us one beautiful summer day after another. Together.
