Magnolia Table is a new cookbook written by the lovely Joanna Gaines of Fixer Upper fame. I’ve been awaiting the release of this cookbook for ages. It’s been on my Amazon wishlist, just waiting for it to come available. So imagine my surprise and excitement when my husband ordered it for me for our anniversary! I came home to find it sitting on my kitchen counter and I couldn’t have been more thrilled.

This cookbook blew me away. I had high expectations and it widely surpassed them. Not only is it beautiful, the recipes are perfect. The book is full of delicious options and is accompanied by mouth-watering images. She includes meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with appetizers, side dishes, and desserts! There are many, many options for whatever your heart desires.

I absolutely love baking and my desserts are usually beloved and devoured quickly. This cookbook has many wonderful baked goods to add to my rotation and I can’t wait to dive in. More than anything though, I am excited to try out some of these cooking recipes. When the mood hits me right, I really enjoy cooking. I love trying out new things in the kitchen and I have a feeling some of these recipes will become regulars in ours.

For years, I have been looking for the perfect biscuit recipe and the perfect enchilada recipe. She includes both in here and I hope they turn out as well as hers so I can make them favorites in our household. I believe the kitchen makes a home. It’s where a majority of time is spent and its where we gather around the table with family and friends. Great food can make people happy, foster traditions, and create fond memories for everyone. Delicious recipes can serve up love and laughter around the table and hopefully these ones will become the centerpiece of ours.
